Abstract

Five children, 4 males and 1 female, from 6 to 10 year old, who suffered precocious puberty were treated with analogue luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RHa: Buserelin, Hoechst) by intranasal via (300 p.g x 6/day). The result confirm the usefulness of this drug suppressing the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis in patients with precocious puberty. Likely, this treatment also improve the ultimate stature, although further studies are needed.
