Abstract
Clinical and epidemiological features of 154 bacterial meningitis treated from 1981 to 1986 are analyzed. Highest incidence ocurred in the 2 year-old and under group such as for morbility (35 %) and mortality (87,7 %). The whole mortality rate has been 4,54 % and 26 % for the severe shock cases. Connection between mortality and some criteria and severe parameters is discussed.
