Abstract

Epilepsy is the paradigm of chronic disease with poor life quality, a situation that is conditioned by many clinical, psychological and social factors referred to in this work. The procedures to improve the life quality of the child and adolescent suffering from epilepsy, these being specifically related to information, treatment and adequate periodic controls, including, among these, the use of a life quality scale of the child with epilepsy. (CAVE), are indicated simultaneously. This scale has been designed by the author and makes it possible to identify the negative repercussion of the epileptic disease on behavior, school attendance, learning, personal autonomy, social relationship and the frequency and intensity of the seizures.
