Abstract

In this paper we discuss the utility of the new methods and technological advances in the differential diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of the abdominal pain in the childhood. The most common cause of surgery for acute abdominal pain is acute appendicitis, whose early diagnosis depends from the feasibility to a specialized attention and its diagnosis continuas being clinically. The laparoscopy is useful in certain cases of acute appendicitis and where ¡t really demonstrates its biggest advantage is in the ?Recurrent Abdominal Pain?, that is present in the 10-15% of children in school age, increasing the 10% of demonstrable organic causes for other means. The best knowledge in the pathogenesis in the chronic gastritis caused by Helicobacter pylori and helped for the hystologic diagnosis by digestiva endoscopy, they will allow us to know in a near future, if this it has some relationship with chronic abdominal pain.
