Abstract

Abstract The isolated Fallopian tube torsion is an infrequent cause of acute abdominal pain among premenarcheal adolescent girls. The diagnosis of this disease after the appearance of the symptoms, is usually delayed because of these symptoms are inespecific, the disease is really infrequent and the search of other more frequent causes of acute abdominal pain. This case is about a thirteen years old adolescent girl with isolated torsion of left fallopian tube, that needed the surgical laparoscopic removal. We want to remark the importance of having in mind this disease in the differential diagnosis of acute abdominal pain in women, because the early diagnosis and surgery are the mainstay for keeping the fallopian tube.
