Abstract
A retrospective study in 155 children affected by bronchiolitis from a clinical and therapeutical point of view is made. After a common cold of upper airways of few days of evolution the children presented progressive respiratory distress, with tachypnea, thoracic retractions and wheezing rales on expiration. The X-Ray picture showed air trapping in all cases. The laboratory test were of limited value showing only hypoxemia in gasometry. The evolution of respiratory distress was favourable after treatment that consisted in oxigene, fluids, physiotherapy and pharmacological agents of uncertain efficacy.
