Abstract
Presented here is the case of two children both suffering from tuberculosis of the peritoneum; who presented diagnostic difficulties due to their inespecific syntoms, negative result of the Mantoux reaction and the absence of the conclusive bacteriological data. The use of both the ecography and the computed abdominal axial tomography permited the exclusion of any other illness, fundamentaly malignant. The diagnosis was possible by the use of a laparoscop which permited the visualisation of image typical in tuberculosis cases and the curing of material for histological study.
