Care and demographic aspects of adolescence

Abstract

In 1981, there was 6.579-138 adolescents in Spain, corresponding to 17,46 % of general population. The percentages are decreasing meanwhile the absolute figures are increasing. The adolescents have specific problems, as alcoholism, precocious gravidity, drug addiction, psychosomatic problems, etc. Besides, the behaviour of adolescents opposite to physician is also peculiar. For all that, an Adolescent Care team, including several specialities and a Consultan’s Service are needed.
