Abstract
The diferents reasons of the failure of response to oral iron treatment are revised. The normal response to oral iron therapy is considered and the conditions which interferes with it are point cut: failure of irregular administration of oral iron, inadequate dose, ineffective preparation, incorrect diagnosis, coexistent disease which interferes with absorption or utilization of iron.
