Necrotizing enterocolitis in the newborn: Radiologic findings in 59 cases

Abstract

We refer 59 patients diagnosed in neonatal period. All of them have presented clinical signs of necrotizing enterocolitis confirming the diagnosis by means of abdominal chest X rays plain films. We show the radiologic signs of the casuistic, and the results of barium enemas realized afterwards to confirm the possible intestinal stenosis secondary to the disease.
