Abstract
One hundred and one school children with no complicated epileptic crisis were received from the Pediatric Neurology Service. The following results were got by a survey including 47 questions:
A high percentage of patients does not regularly attend to school, and they are not very well accepted by professors and students. The marks of these patients are, in general, worse. The professors did not know to act correctly in case of seizure.
The social and cultural shape of parents does not differ from the general population, although we found a light decresed level. It is striking the high percentaje of parents (96 %), who did not received a health education. The 23 % of families has had problems in his connections and the 5 % had to modify this job.
The treatment was with drawn in 12,8 % of cases. No children had an epileptic card. The parents criticized the lacking in coordination between sanitary and instruction Centers. The marks are dependent on instruction level of mothers and the aceptation of professors. We lack national statistics.
