The causes of periatal mortality in Castilla y León

Abstract

The study of the causes of perinatal mortality can be study by tests of mortality and by certificates of disease, both of the chances have their advantages and disadvantages. We have chosen the statistical review of abortion and disease as the main source of facts, wich correspond to the period previously studied, showing the results according to the eight International Classification Desease (icd). The most frequent group of causes was the one named: different diseases in the fetus and in the new-born that got the result of 30 %, followed by anoxic and hypoxic cond's (13 %), and congenital anomalies (12 %), but the most important cause is the immaturity which has got the 20 % in the whole study of the causes.
