Abstract
A group of newborns with perinatal hypoxia was studied retrospectively. Incidence, systemic involvement and mortality were analyzed in relation to the degree of afectation (moderate or severe), by determinated criteria. Gestational and delivery values, signs of perinatal hypoxia, clinical manifestations and results of complementary studies were investigated. The most common findings were neurologic (63,5 %), respiratory (37,0 %), metabolic (36,6 %), and less, cardiovascular, hematologic, renal and digestive disturbances. An
association between severity level of perinatal asphyxia and neurologic, cardiac and renal affectation was found.
