Abstract
Thirty symptomatic cases of infantile spasms were long-term followed up. Three of them didn’t come to control. The results were: 7 died (25,9 %); in 10 cases spasms didn’t ceased (37 %); 17 showed neurological retardation (62,9 %); 5 showed a EEG normal (18,5 %); and 3 hadn’t fits and had a normal intellectual development (11,1 %). Prognostic factors and long-term action of the treatment are analyzed.
