Abstract

The activity of serum ribonuclease (RNase) is measured in 28 normal children, 12 months to 14 years old, the mean figure was 10,8 ± 1,83 uu. We found 20,4 ± 4,4 uu in cord blood samples and 31,5 ±6,6 uu in 12 newborns with physiological jaundice. The RNase follow-up was also studied from birth until 12 months of age, date in which normal levels are got.
