Abstract
One month age infant with pneumonitis by Chlamydia trachomatis is reported. The frequence of this infection in other areas is 36 %. The long-term morbidity which is based in ulterior recidivant crisis of obstructive pneumopathy is commented. The authors suggested the study of its prevalence in our environment. In the case that it was high, it should be recommended the prophylaxis of ophthalmia neonatorum with erythromycin.
