Abstract
The mechanical and humoral factors controlling the processes which take part in the bone-metabolism are reviewed. Special attention is given to parathormone, calcitonin, 1,25 (OH)2 and vitamin D, analysing its secretion mechanism, production control, peripheral metabolism and its action on the bone, kidney and other organs.
