Abstract

The method is fundamented by assessment of 12 parameters obtained from anamnesis and physical examination. Each one is analized assigning a minimal of 25 and maximal of 100 points. During the discussion is explained the reason to attribute diferem value to each statememt, where are involved several etiological factors such as sexual, genetic , race, geografic, biochemical, neuromuscular, mechanical and teratogenic agents. Evaluating just one or by addition of two or more items, the author conclude that 25 points is not indication for roentgenographic study of the infant hip, with 50 points the indication is questionable and 75 points is indicated. With 100 points or more it is absolutely indicated.
