Abstract
We have interviewed 100 mothers who attended to the Pediatrics consulting of the Health Center, in order to value their knowledge about the care and the meaning of the fever in children. All they used the thermometer; they considered as fever figures aboye 37.5 ± 0.4°c. The 38 % thought the fever was a sign of sever ill; the 92 % gave sorne antipyretic in case of fever; the most frequent was the acetylsalicylic acid (47 %). The 79 % dosed it correctly and administered it starting from 38 ± 0.5°C. The 86 % dispensed physical antipyretic measures.
