Abstract
The differences among infant, neonatal, post-neonatal and perinatal mortality of the different provinces of Castilla and Leon were evaluated from 1975 to 1986. Besides, the authors analyzed the follow-up of these levels during this period. The results point out the existence of several provinces located in the northwest area of the Autonomous Community that show the high rates of infant and perinatal mortality (p < 0.001). There was no significant differences about the postneonatal mortality (p > 0.70). The four studied rates decreased throughout the 1975-86 period, except during 1984.
