Abstract
Six cases of visceral leishmaniosis (VL) in childhood, diagnosed at the Hospital General the Segovia are reported. We review some epidemiological aspects, the clinical and laboratory features of VL, its associations with other diseases, the diagnostic methods, and the treatment. We compare our findings with those of other similar series reported in Spain. In five out of our six cases the diagnostic was reached by means of bone marrow aspiration.
