Abstract

We review 11 children with Haemophilus influenzae (HI) meningitis admitted in our Unit during the last 7 years. An increase of HI meningitis was observed (p <0.005) in relationship to the total of admitted patients during the previous years. Al1 patients were younger than 3 years old and nobody died. The percentage of long-term sequelae was 18.8% and the resistance to amoxiciline was 54.54%.
