From the Guillermo Arce Memorial to the Guillermo Arce - Ernesto Sánchez Villares Memorial. Paediatric Nutrition Awards

Abstract

The Guillermo Arce Memorial commemorative act has taken place since 1988, to recall the figure of this great authority of the spanish pediatrics and to bring together his followers. The scientific content of the meeting is wider and more ambitious each year. After the death of Professor Ernesto Sánchez Villares in 1996, the Memorial changed its name and it is now called the "Guillermo Arce-Ernesto Sánchez Villares Memorial". This article reviewes the programs of the Memorials which have been celebrated to now. It also revises the Pediatrics Nutrition Awards since the beginning of their presentation, in 1979.
