Abstract

The objective of the work was to study childrens of emigrant parents and the influence of this phenomenon in the psychic organic morbility. The descriptive epidemic study of group, in 100 children?s, she/he was carried out in the Municipal Hospital of the city of Ambato, during the period understood among March of 2003-marzo 2004. The results settle down in the following parameters: The half age was of 7 ± 3.9 years. 59% was masculine. The tutors in their majority are the grandparents (46%). The age average of the progenitors of the studied fellows was, for the parents of 32.4 ± 4.3 years, as long as for the mothers it was of 29.7 ± 4.2 years. The preferential destination is Spain (father: 46%, mother: 55%), and they work in works non professionals (construction, agricultural labourers, workers, domestic chores, people's cares, etc). The breathing pathologies and diaohrrea constitute the pathology prevalent (58%), but it also exists eruptive, infectious 12%, 12% of healthy children. 17% of cases has history of sexual abuse. 56 % children?s presents decrease of the growth and malnutrition of diverse degrees. You concludes that the son of migrants should be considered as an diagnose in paediatrics for all the demonstrated implications.
